Quick video explaining the difference between unlacquered brass and patina brass, my French accent is tick very thick, so I’m a few words I will explain you what this is about if you couldn’t understand me.. unlacquered brass is basically polished brass with no finish coating meaning that it will reacts/patina naturally with everything getting in contact with it.. I mean EVERYTHING, at the beginning it’s not always pretty, it looks stained and dirty but after a few months/years the magic happens and the beauty of the patina takes over. Controlled patina is an acid applied on the brass to make it react ( patina ). Depending of the patina you are using and the way you apply it you will have different colors/shades of Patinas. We always clear coat or wax our patina which means that overtime they won’t changed, they will remain the same and easy to clean, they are protected. I’m in love with both processes but once you choose between unlacquered or patina you have to ask yourself if you are willing to trust the brass to grow with you and evolve or not. Those are our standard finishes but we can match pretty much any samples and make hundreds of variations… everything is possible.. almost ;) Let me know if you have any questions..
