Items I will not travel without💭(ad) After a year of going on backpacking trips… I can easily say these are three things. I love to have with me. A neck pillow… specifically this convertible Repleto jacket from @cotopaxi , because it doubles as a down jacket as well! It’s comfortable, convenient, and easy to travel with which I love. A mobile charger. Ask me how I got through three other international trips without a mobile charger I don’t know, but I swear my phone dies almost immediately and so this is a no-brainer. Last is a physical book… Call me crazy but I love having a book with me and feel like it really grounds me to the place that I am in. I wish I learned these tricks earlier 🤔👇🏼 Save this for future reference! Learning how to pack a backpack more efficiently is something that takes a lot of time, so I’m hoping to shorten some of that down for you!! All of these hacks have allowed both of us to downsize our packs and not have tons of stuff hanging on the outside. It’s amazing what a little rearranging can do! What I really want to emphasize is that backpacking is a huuuuuge learning experience. We learn something new every single time. And it’s okay to not do it all right the first (or 10th time). What matters is that you’re enjoying your time out there and that you find ways to make it easier on yourself. Let’s pack!! 🥾✨ This is everything I brought on my backpacking trip!! (Besides the extra bathing suit & baggy T I was convinced to bring HAHA) and water! *Note* I don’t normally bring this much stuff on trail, I usually only have the clothes on my body & something to sleep in! This trip was more ~luxury~ if you will. You hike down then it’s pretty flat & the way out is all the up SO foods mostly gone by then making your bag lighter. Girl math means I can bring some additional fun items down. There were pit toilets at the campground which was UNREAL! & also meant we didn’t have to worry about the bathroom situation too much. This trip makes me SO dang excited for summer! I can’t wait to go on tons of backpacking trips:))
