Monotyping with paint forming first positive then negative space. I'm thoroughly enjoying this technique and the textures and surprises that come with it! In case you're wondering what paint I'm using - it's kids washable fingerpaint 😁 It makes the process feel more fun, but more importantly, it takes a longer time to dry than acrylic and poster paint so there is more to make the print. Oil paints work too with their long drying time, but cleanup is a breeze with this paint :) There is a tradeoff though - less intense colors and it's probably not lightfast.
